Event Registration FAQs

How do I register for an event?
Using the event calendar, click on the correct month, the desired event and dates for the event. You can filter by selecting just the snow sports discipline you are interested in. You will be directed to an information page and then a registration page. If you having difficulties, or if you are looking for an event that is not on the calendar, please contact Member Services or the NI Event Manager to register.

Are registration spots limited?
A maximum number is put in place for each event so there is always the potential for registration to close early due to a full clinic/exam. If registration numbers exceed these maximum numbers, additional clinic/exam groups may be created provided the new group numbers meet minimum number requirements and there is available staffing.

Can I register the day of the event?
There is no event day registration.

Is there a registration deadline?
Yes. Registration deadline is one week prior to the event’s start date for clinics, and two weeks prior to the event’s start date for exams. Payment must be made at the time of registration to save your space.

Can I register after the deadline?
It depends. Registrations made after the deadline are on a space-available basis and are not guaranteed. If participant numbers have not reached maximum, registration may be allowed. Please contact the division office to inquire about this possibility.

What is the min/max participant number for events?
The minimum number of participants for an event is four. If there are fewer than four individuals registered for an event when the registration deadline passes, the event may be canceled or rescheduled. The maximum number of participants is eight for educational clinics and six for most assessments. Children’s Specialist Assessments may hold up to eight participants. If registration numbers exceed these maximum numbers, additional clinic/assessment groups may be created, provided the new group numbers meet minimum number requirements.

Will an event be cancelled if it has less than the minimum number of participants?
Yes, if minimum numbers are not met when the registration deadline of the event passes, the event will be cancelled. Registrants will be contacted and refunded. Whenever possible, efforts will be made to reschedule.

Are lift tickets included?
Lift tickets are generally provided for most events. Lift tickets for events at Sun Valley are only provided for exams and assessments; clinic participants at Sun Valley may purchase tickets at the standard PSIA-AASI discounted ticket rate for those events if needed. Lift tickets are provided at Bogus Basin as long as participants are registered to a Northern Intermountain member school; event participants at Bogus Basin may purchase tickets at the standard PSIA-AASI discounted ticket rate for those events if needed.

What happens if I need to cancel my event registration?
You may cancel your event registration for any reason and receive a full refund or reschedule for a future event equal to 100% of the amount you paid if you do so at least two weeks (14 days) prior to the start date of the event.
A cancellation requested 7 to 13 days prior to the event start date will be assessed an administrative fee equal to 50%  of the registration cost.
A cancellation requested less than 7 days prior to an event will not receive a refund or be eligible for transfer to another event.

Extenuating circumstances (medical or bereavement, etc) will always be considered for a full refund if the request is received within one week after the start of the event.

Certain premier regional and national events, such as Spring Symposium or National Academy, will follow a unique cancellation policy different from this standard one.
