How do I register for an event?
Using the event calendar, click on the correct month, the desired event and dates for the event. You can filter by selecting just the snow sports discipline you are interested in. You will be directed to an information page and then a registration page. If you are having difficulties, or if you are looking for an event that is not on the calendar, please contact Member Services or the NI Event Manager to register.
Are registration spots limited?
A maximum number is put in place for each event so there is always the potential for registration to close early due to a full clinic/assessment. If registration numbers exceed these maximum numbers, additional clinic/exam groups may be created provided the new group numbers meet minimum number requirements and there is available staffing.
Can I register the day of the event?
There is no event day registration.
Is there a registration deadline?
Yes. Registration deadline is two weeks prior to the event’s start date for clinics and assessments. Payment must be made at the time of registration to save your space.
Can I register after the deadline?
It depends. Registrations made after the deadline are on a space-available basis and are not guaranteed. If participant numbers have not reached maximum, registration may be allowed. Please contact the Region office to inquire about this possibility.
What is the min/max participant number for events?
The minimum number of participants for educational events is five. If there are fewer than five individuals registered for an event when the registration deadline passes, the event may be canceled or rescheduled. The maximum number of participants is 24 for educational clinics and six for most assessments. If registration numbers exceed these maximum numbers, additional clinic/assessment groups may be created, provided the new group numbers meet minimum number requirements.
Will an event be cancelled if it has fewer than the minimum number of participants?
Yes, if minimum numbers are not met when the registration deadline of the event passes, the event will be cancelled. Registrants will be contacted and refunded. Whenever possible, efforts will be made to reschedule.
Are lift tickets included?
Lift tickets are generally provided for most events. Bogus Basin requires registration prior to the event so RFID cards can be produced. Pomerelle charges a $5 RFID fee. Symposium Lift pricing will be dependent on the host resort.
Event Cancellation Policy
If you decide not to attend your event, either online or in person, our standard cancellation policy applies:
Full Refund Period:
Up to three weeks prior to the start date and time of your event, you can cancel your registration at no cost. Cancellations will usually result in a “gift card” to your account that may be applied to another educational event. Due to products being different, the fee may not be transferred to another event.
Partial Refund Period:
Between three weeks and one week prior to the start date and time of your event, you can cancel your event or transfer your event fee to another event for an administrative fee equal to 50% of the cost of your event registration.
Non-Refundable Period:
Less than one week prior to the start date and time of your event, no event transfers are provided, and events are non-refundable. Please note that no refunds will be issued for events once attended. We encourage members to review event details carefully before registering to ensure a satisfactory experience.
Additional Details:
Extenuating circumstances (medical or bereavement) will be considered for a refund if notification is given at the earliest opportunity, and the request is received within one week after the start of the event.
Extenuating circumstances (medical or bereavement, etc) will always be considered for a full refund if the request is received within one week after the start of the event. Medical will require documentation from a medical provider.
Certain premier regional and national events, such as Spring Symposium or National Academy, will follow a unique cancellation policy different from this standard one.
